2018 – 2020 | TICWATCH CASESTUDY

While employed by the importer of the TicWatch brand (made by Mobvoi), I had the chance to develop compelling assets aimed at promoting this smartwatch brand across the EU market. Although our primary emphasis was on the Benelux region, we also crafted materials for broader distribution throughout the area.

Tic stands out as a pioneering brand, dedicated to crafting intelligent consumer solutions for both wearables and home applications. Their product line-up encompasses a diverse range, from smartwatches to smart speakers and earbuds.

Each of these offerings comes equipped with its own Google Assistant, placing them squarely at the forefront of innovative functionality. Tic prides itself on delivering a new era of smart, stylish products tailored to suit every lifestyle.

WEBSITE

Taking our learnings from the BlackVue website, we launched Tic-Benelux.com with a clear purpose in mind. We wanted it to be the go-to destination for all things related to our products. Our main aim was to provide a platform where people could learn about our offerings, place orders hassle-free, and receive top-notch support whenever needed. With this goal at the forefront, we set out to create an awesome, informative website that quickly became a hub for daily orders.

By packing our website with loads of information, we made sure customers had everything they needed right at their fingertips. This comprehensive approach meant that reaching out for customer support became a rare occurrence, as most queries were answered on the spot. Our website not only served as a sales platform, but also as a resource hub, empowering users to make informed decisions and reducing the need for extensive support outreach.

PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS

We did have some physical stores that were selling the Mobvoi brand. To make sure, we gave these businesses also some materials to promote the watches with, we created some flyers. These were easy to display on the counter and gave potential customers a good overview of the different products we offered.

ADVERTISEMENTS

With the use of influencers and reviewers, we got the word out about our products. This approach helped us reach a wide audience and boosted sales because people trusted the positive reviews from popular tech platforms.

It was a lot of fun working with these reviewers and influencers. I kept in close contact with them, and we wanted to make sure the review was honest and wasn’t fake. We kept in touch to make sure the product was understood clearly so that the reviewer knew how the product worked. This was rarely the case, as our installation guides and FAQ’s were clearly written.

I did also create some advertisements that we published in magazines and online news outlets. It was great coming up with the design and copy for this. I loved seeing my designs in the magazines and it really boosted the brand visibility. Apart from the big advertisements, we did also small product placements, for which I also wrote the content. Below, you can see how these small advertorials looked in publications like Elsevier and Panorama.

As you might have noticed, online advertising was a big part of our promotional activities for the smartwatch brand. We had the luxury position to create special content pages for some of the Netherlands biggest e-tailers including Bol.com and Coolblue.nl.

Working on the Ticwatch brand was a lot of fun. Being able to create content with influencers and e-tailers brought a lot of dimension to the brand. It gave us the opportunity to grow and to expand our business.
