Ah Paris, the city of love and lights. Looking back at some of the last few years pictures, made me come across this one. A classic picture of the Eiffel Tower.
The Eiffel Tower, a seminal architectural achievement conceived by Gustave Eiffel, was erected in 1889 as the centerpiece for the Exposition Universelle. Initially met with divergent opinions, this wrought-iron lattice structure has evolved into an unparalleled symbol of Parisian identity and global admiration.
Soaring to a height of 324 meters, the tower beckons visitors to ascend its levels, affording them unparalleled vistas of the French capital. Whether basking in the warmth of the sun’s glow or aglow against the nocturnal backdrop, the Eiffel Tower stands as an indomitable testament to artistic innovation and has become an indispensable element of the Parisian panorama, welcoming throngs of admirers to partake in its timeless grandeur.
A WEE TRIP
Our first holiday together was just a small trip to Disneyland Paris. But we did stop over for just a day or two to see Paris. It was a great time, as the city was a lot emptier than before or long after the Corona pandemic. So in a way, it was the perfect time to go out and explore the city of love.
A must stop to any visit to this amazing city is the Eiffel Tower. It’s one of those things, no matter how often you see it, it stays impressive. We didn’t go up this time, but even the views from the ground are impressive.
